Christmas Decorations

We had a very exciting week this week.  On Wednesday, we took Ryan to Children's Hospital for his MRI.  For those of you who do not know, Ryan has had migraine headaches for the past few years.  We were very relieved to find that the MRI was normal and we are pleased with the progress from working with the neurologist at Children's Hospital.  The procedure lasted only about 45 minutes and Ryan was fine one the anesthesiologist told him he was putting him to sleep with a gas that smelt like dinosaur farts.

Ryan talked mommy and daddy into putting up the Christmas decorations early.  He did a great job helping decorate the tree.  Next year it could be a little more interesting once baby Jeremy is more mobile.

Thank goodness that mommy is not afraid of heights.  On Friday evening we decided to take advantage of the wonderful weather and hang up the lights in the dark.
Jeremy is still growing, he is in 6 month clothing and size 2 diapers.  He smiles all of the time and he is now starting to talk and giggle.  He started Monday sleeping in his crib in his own room.  On Tuesday he even slept from 9:00 PM until 5:00 AM.  Mommy is a little sad because she only has one more week of maternity leave :(.

We are learning that Ryan has an amazing memory and a great since of humor.  There was a pinata at church today.  Ryan went to the table to get some candy and he identified that mommy had eaten one of the 20 pieces of candy he got from the pinata.  He then proceeded to go to the Christmas tree and get a Hershey chocolate bar ornament and say, "See mom, the one you ate was like this."  We'll let you guess whether or not he went to the store to get a new Hershey chocolate bar...

This evening, Ryan was playing on the gate to the stairs.  Mommy asked him, "Ryan, how many times have I asked you not to play on the gate."  He promptly replied, "18."  About a half hour later he proceed to ask his mommy, "Is 18 a lot mommy?"

We definitely have and endless supply of entertainment with our boys and we are as proud as any parents could be.  We would like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving.  We are truly thankful for the family God has blessed us with.

Jeremy's Dedication

Jeremy was dedicated at church this Sunday.  We are thankful to be a part of such a wonderful church family.

Proverbs 22:6
Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

Weekend at Fowler

We enjoyed a fun trip to Fowler this weekend.

Jeremy slept on Grandpa's belly for a few hours on Wednesday night.

The boys enjoyed laying in Grandma's bed.

On Friday afternoon we went an visited Great Grandpa Jerry and Great Grandma Sarah in Pueblo West.

Grandma Sarah cooked Ryan her famous sour cream sugar cookies.

Jeremy enjoyed his visit at Uncle Mark and Aunt Gina's house.

Ryan brought down a pinata for all of the kids to enjoy.
Ryan borrowed Kristin and Klara's roller skates and went skating for the first time.

Derrick, Kristin and Klara enjoyed their new cousin Jeremy.
Jeremy also got to meet his Great Grandma Toni.

Brotherly Love

Ryan read his little brother stories in Grandma's crib.  Jeremy loves his big brother and his entertaining stories.

It's hard to believe that Jeremy Lee is already 2 months old.  He is the happiest baby ever.  This week he started to smile and coo.  He already has everyone wrapped around his little fingers.  He went to the doctor this week and he weighs 12 lbs. 5 oz and is 23.8 inches long.  This week he has started sleeping longer through the night (knock on wood).

Halloween 2011

Ryan, Jeremy, Mommy, Grandma and Grandma enjoyed a brisk evening at the Trick-or-Treat Street at Centennial Village in Greeley.

On Sunday, Ryan carved his first pumpkin by himself this year.  He did a great job.  He did not like touching the yucky insides of the pumpkin though.

Mommy and Daddy thought that taking a picture of Jeremy inside a pumpkin on his first Halloween would be fun.  Jeremy was not in much of a picture taking mood...
Mommy helped with Ryan's Halloween Party at Preschool on Monday.  All of kids got to decorate their own sugar cookies.  Mommy taught all of Ryan's classmates how not to double dip their knifes in the frosting.
We had our annual Mexican Food Feast Halloween Party at the Sharp house.  Ryan had a fun time trick-or-treating.
We made it all the way to the opposite end of the neighborhood when Ryan realized that he enjoyed handing out candy more than he liked Trick-or-Treating.  So daddy got to carry him all the way home on his shoulders.  Ryan was quite entertaining handing out candy.  We learned that he has a career ahead of him selling food at Bronco games.  He stood on the sidewalk and yelled to the kids, "Get you candy here"  and "This house is open."  When kids stopped at the neighbor's house he told them, "Don't go there come to my house."  He then hand picked which candy each kid got.  Does he sound like someone else when he was a kid?
