Christmas 2011

On Wednesday 12/21/11we celebrated Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Policeman's house with Uncle Adam and Aunt Laura.

Daddy finally got his Keurig Coffee Pot

Mommy and Jeremy got a baby bullet so mommy can make homemade baby food.

We spent Christmas Eve baking cookies and getting ready for Santa to arrive.
Ryan was a big helper baking cookies.  He only got a little flour on the counter.

Jeremy didn't much care to bake cookies.  He just lounged in the recliner and watched TV.
We enjoyed Christmas day at our house.  Santa came to Ryan's house for the first time.  Ryan put a magic key outside so Santa could get in since we don't have a chimney.  He also left carrots for the Reindeer and cookies and milk for Santa.  Although Ryan didn't get the gas powered go kart he originally asked for he was thrilled with his police car, pop the pig game (which he specifically asked for thanks to excellent marketing from various TV ads) and the Snorries (Sorry) game.  Jeremy got a ball popper toy which Ryan enjoys playing with more than some of his toys.
Ryan's eyes were huge when he saw his police car.

Jeremy sat in his new chair while Ryan opened his gift from Santa.

There's a new Sheriff in town!  Look out kids on bikes and skateboards, I am sure you will be pulled over and possibly arrested.
We spent Christmas afternoon at Uncle Scott and Aunt Jo's house with the entire Sharp clan.
All of the Sharp knuckleheads.

Ryan got a basketball hoop that was taller than him.

Grandma Kathy and Jeremy were showing off their Christmas sweaters.

This was daddy's Christmas.  The two sweetest boys in the whole world.

Milestone # 1 -- Rolling Over

On Monday, December 19, 2011 at around 6:00 PM, Jeremy rolled over from his stomach to his back.  He is growing way too fast.

Back to Work

Mommy had to go back to work on 11/28/11. The first week was rough because Jeremy had Croup and Ryan had Strep.  But this week everyone is feeling better.

Ryan and Jeremy posing for the Christmas card.
On Monday, December 5, 2011, Jeremy starting sitting in his high chair with the family during meal times.  Before too long he will be eating cereal.  It is hard to believe how fast he is growing.

Thanksgiving 2011

We had a fun Thanksgiving at Uncle Adam and Aunt Laura's house in Hayden/Steamboat.  Grandma and Grandpa carpooled with us.  We only had to stop five times on the way up.
Ryan enjoyed playing on the caboose in Walden on the way up.

Aunt Laura made Jeremy his first homemade stocking hat.

Aunt Laura had to pose with Jeremy so she could finally make it on the blog.

We had a delicious meal.  It only took 8 hours to cook the Turkey and the fire alarms only went of once.  But the meal was well worth the wait.

Jeremy wanted to get his picture taken with Uncle Adam before heading to work.

Daddy got to do another ride along with Uncle Adam.

Ryan and Jeremy talked with Santa.  Out of the blue, Ryan asked Santa for a Go-Kart that he could drive.
Ryan went ice skating for the first time with Mommy, Daddy and Aunt Laura.  Daddy never fell down thanks to the special walker he got to use.

Ryan made Aunt Laura and Uncle Adam a gingerbread house.

Christmas Decorations

We had a very exciting week this week.  On Wednesday, we took Ryan to Children's Hospital for his MRI.  For those of you who do not know, Ryan has had migraine headaches for the past few years.  We were very relieved to find that the MRI was normal and we are pleased with the progress from working with the neurologist at Children's Hospital.  The procedure lasted only about 45 minutes and Ryan was fine one the anesthesiologist told him he was putting him to sleep with a gas that smelt like dinosaur farts.

Ryan talked mommy and daddy into putting up the Christmas decorations early.  He did a great job helping decorate the tree.  Next year it could be a little more interesting once baby Jeremy is more mobile.

Thank goodness that mommy is not afraid of heights.  On Friday evening we decided to take advantage of the wonderful weather and hang up the lights in the dark.
Jeremy is still growing, he is in 6 month clothing and size 2 diapers.  He smiles all of the time and he is now starting to talk and giggle.  He started Monday sleeping in his crib in his own room.  On Tuesday he even slept from 9:00 PM until 5:00 AM.  Mommy is a little sad because she only has one more week of maternity leave :(.

We are learning that Ryan has an amazing memory and a great since of humor.  There was a pinata at church today.  Ryan went to the table to get some candy and he identified that mommy had eaten one of the 20 pieces of candy he got from the pinata.  He then proceeded to go to the Christmas tree and get a Hershey chocolate bar ornament and say, "See mom, the one you ate was like this."  We'll let you guess whether or not he went to the store to get a new Hershey chocolate bar...

This evening, Ryan was playing on the gate to the stairs.  Mommy asked him, "Ryan, how many times have I asked you not to play on the gate."  He promptly replied, "18."  About a half hour later he proceed to ask his mommy, "Is 18 a lot mommy?"

We definitely have and endless supply of entertainment with our boys and we are as proud as any parents could be.  We would like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving.  We are truly thankful for the family God has blessed us with.

Jeremy's Dedication

Jeremy was dedicated at church this Sunday.  We are thankful to be a part of such a wonderful church family.

Proverbs 22:6
Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

Weekend at Fowler

We enjoyed a fun trip to Fowler this weekend.

Jeremy slept on Grandpa's belly for a few hours on Wednesday night.

The boys enjoyed laying in Grandma's bed.

On Friday afternoon we went an visited Great Grandpa Jerry and Great Grandma Sarah in Pueblo West.

Grandma Sarah cooked Ryan her famous sour cream sugar cookies.

Jeremy enjoyed his visit at Uncle Mark and Aunt Gina's house.

Ryan brought down a pinata for all of the kids to enjoy.
Ryan borrowed Kristin and Klara's roller skates and went skating for the first time.

Derrick, Kristin and Klara enjoyed their new cousin Jeremy.
Jeremy also got to meet his Great Grandma Toni.

Brotherly Love

Ryan read his little brother stories in Grandma's crib.  Jeremy loves his big brother and his entertaining stories.

It's hard to believe that Jeremy Lee is already 2 months old.  He is the happiest baby ever.  This week he started to smile and coo.  He already has everyone wrapped around his little fingers.  He went to the doctor this week and he weighs 12 lbs. 5 oz and is 23.8 inches long.  This week he has started sleeping longer through the night (knock on wood).
