Snow Day

Only in Colorado can it be 70 degrees on Tuesday and snow 12 inches on Wednesday!  Needless to say the Sharp Family enjoyed a day off of work and school to enjoy the snow and to have a day at home as a family.  Jeremy must have known that it was a really heavy snow that would reek havoc on our trees because he woke mommy and daddy up at 2:30 AM so they could shake the snow off of the trees.

Ryan did a great job of helping daddy shovel the snow off of the sidewalk.  We got a total of 12 inches.

Mommy and Ryan showed off their creative sides by constructing a puppet stage from the water heater box.  Ryan is quite the entertainer.  We are going to charge admission to his puppet show to offset the cost of the new water heater.

Fall Family Fun

It is so awesome that everything is getting back to normal at the Sharp house.  Jeremy is doing awesome. We are getting into a routine and mommy and daddy are thoroughly enjoying their boys.

Jeremy and daddy's eyes were both this wide once they learned that Tebow earned the starting quarterback spot for the Broncos.

Jeremy is growing.  Today he weighed in at 11 lbs. 16 oz.

It is hard to believe that our little boy is 5!
We went to the Fritzler Corn Maze in Sunday to celebrate daddy's birthday.

Ryan's Fifth Birthday

On Sunday, Ryan celebrated his 5th birthday with his friends at the bowling alley.

Mommy and Daddy woke Ryan up on his birthday with breakfast in bed.

Ryan had a special birthday party at preschool.

Mommy and Daddy took Ryan to see the Smurfs at the movie theater.  We had the whole place to ourselves.  I think Ryan sit in every seat at the theater.

We went to The Olive Garden for a special birthday dinner.  Ryan crashed before he could eat his dinner from all of the birthday excitement.

The Mead Corn Maze

We had a great time at the corn maze in Mead with Uncle Adam, Aunt Laura, Grandma and Grandpa

Thank goodness Ryan knew the way or Uncle Adam and Aunt Laura would still be in the maze.

Grandma and Grandpa only bought Ryan 10 pumpkins from the pumpkin patch.

Don't worry he didn't actually jump.

Jeremy was wondering when he was going to get a new cousin.

When It Rains It Pours!

It has been a very exciting week since we were discharged from Children's Hospital.  We ended up staying a total of 10 days which seemed like a lifetime.  We are happy to report that Jeremy is doing very well.  We are now working on Jeremy's sleep schedule and un-spoiling from his 10 days of getting what ever he wanted from Grandmas and Grandpas.  Again we would like to thank everyone for their support, prayers, food and encouragement over the past few weeks.  You are all dear to us and you made our difficult time easier.  We are a little behind on our thank you notes but they are coming...

We had a very fun filled exciting week.  It all started last Friday when Stacy was cooking a meal in the oven. I was off refereeing a football game and as I was on the phone she told me that she had to go because there was a fire in the oven.  We assumed that something spilled over and caught fire.  However, when she attempted to apply baking soda to the fire it did not put it out.  So she had to call 911 and the fire department made a visit to our house.  With the help of our wonderful neighbor Rod we were able to flip the breaker and the fire eventually went out.  The good news is that there was no damage to the house, the bad news is that oven did not make it.  So we went shopping on Saturday and are now proud new owners of an oven.

Then on Wednesday evening Ryan and I went downstairs and found a flooded basement.  Our water heater decided that it had a special relationship with the old oven and decided to go out also.  So with the help of our neighbor Rod and Uncle Mark and Aunt Melissa we installed a new water heater.

Other than all of the appliance excitement we are doing great and super happy to be home.  Ryan is a great big brother. He did tell mommy on Tuesday morning, "We need to return Stinkle Butt (Ryan's nickname for Jeremy) because all he does is cry."  It was all better after he was able to feed Jeremy a bottle for the first time.  He only wanted to burp him every 10 seconds...  He loves to help to change the diapers and he is a big help.  Mommy and Daddy just wish we could bottle up some of his energy.

Until next time, thank you again to everyone for all of your support.
